Quixtar and The Right to Differ |
"The Right to Differ" has served for many years as a fundamental statement of belief of the DeVos and Van Andel families, the founders of the Alticor family of companies, including Quixtar.
Respect for every individual is more than just a foundational value of the Quixtar business opportunity; it's essential for building a successful Quixtar business. Quixtar Independent Business Owners (IBOs) come together as business associates, agreeing on the principles of free enterprise. They work together to achieve their individual financial goals through the Quixtar Independent Business Owner Compensation Plan and by observing our Rules of Conduct. Some IBO organizations, known as Lines of Affiliation (LOA), have particularly strong identities and members who embrace shared views and interests. On all issues not specifically affecting the operation of their Quixtar businesses, however, IBOs have the right to hold differing viewpoints, without those differences jeopardizing their status as IBOs or their business relationships with other IBOs.
The Quixtar business podium should never become a platform for preaching religious doctrine, political causes, or other issues of an intensely personal nature. The Corporation has rules in place prohibiting this type of behavior to ensure that people with differing beliefs are not turned off by or turned away from the Quixtar business opportunity because they perceive it to be limited to only those of like mind on certain issues.
